Lubana Island is part of Amazi, a newly launched resort-style paradise by Hawana Salalah that is located along the beaches of the Arabian Sea, on the scenic arabian coastline. Amazi is part of the largest and most prestigious integrated tourism and residential community in southern Oman, within Hawana Salalah Oman, Salalah Oman. If you’ve ever driven along the Salalah coastline near Taqah, you’ve probably passed by the main Hawana entrance—it’s hard to miss the marina and the resort hotels. Amazi sits on over a million square meters of meandering lagoons and sandy beaches within Hawana, which is Oman’s largest integrated tourism spot. The project developer is Muriya, a joint venture between Orascom Development Holding and Omran Group, the same team that built destinations like El Gouna in Egypt and Jebel Sifah here in Oman.
Amazi is divided into four distinct neighbourhoods, each with its own character. There’s Amazi Rise, built on a natural hill with elevated views, Amazi Cove, where canals surround the properties, Amazi Islands, a cluster of smaller connected islands with water on all sides, and Amazi Beach, which puts you right on the sandy shores. The word «Amazi» apparently means «the source of all good things» in the local context, and the whole design takes inspiration from Wadi Darbat, that green lush area you see during khareef season.
Hawana is located on the coast of Dhofar, about 20 kilometres east of Salalah city. The stretch of coastline here runs for 13,6 kilometres, making it the largest integrated tourism destination in Oman. The community boasts stunning oceanfront homes and exclusive canal waterfront access, allowing residents to enjoy sweeping ocean views and direct connections to the water. The year-round tropical climate ensures a warm sunlit paradise in winter, while the Khareef season transforms the landscape into a refreshing cool retreat, making it a sought-after destination for coastal living in the Sultanate of Oman.
The floor plans across Amazi vary by district. Amazi offers a diverse selection of villas and chalets, each architecturally aligned with the surrounding natural landscape. In Amazi Cove and Amazi Islands, you get a lot of canal-front units where water wraps around the property. Amazi Beach focuses on oceanfront villas that open directly onto the sand. The layouts are designed to connect indoors with outdoors, using wrap-around swimming pools and arches to blur the line between inside and outside living.
